Hii,
I'm Kahentase. In the Kanien'kehaka Mohawk language, my name means ‘New Meadow,’ and I come from the Akwesasne Mohawk Territory. Growing up, my family encouraged me to stay connected to my creativity, viewing it as a ‘gift’ that helped me walk a good path in life.
Now, I’m a communication designer who walks in two worlds. I walk one in moccasins carrying my culture as my backbone and living up to my name where opportunities grow and flourish. I walk the other in sneakers, with a willingness to learn, adapt, and navigate the ever-evolving world we live in today.
My skills in exhibit and branding design guide me, bridging tradition and innovation to create meaningful, impactful work. When I'm not designing, you can find me at the gym boxing, scrolling Pinterest to create yet another moodboard, beading traditional raised beadwork, and advocating for Indigenous rights.
I believe in cultivating creativity that is grounded in purpose and community. Let’s connect!
